What could be more in keeping with the Sisterhood blog circle, than to share some photos with you of a recent Hen Party?
I was asked by A Most Curious Party, to turn up at The Keeper & The Dell, to photograph 4 hens at their vintage tea party, followed by their personal vintage make over before they went out on the town.
It was one of the most relaxed and pretty assignments I’ve undertaken. With perfect English summer weather, a glorious environment and oh so lovely props – (and the most edible delicious cakes), I couldn’t have asked for a nicer way to spend the afternoon. For me as well, it underlined the importance of female relationships. Women are incredibly good at being comfortable with one another very quickly; whether they are friends of old and haven’t seen each other for a while, or whether they have just met. In no time at all, the walls and gardens of The Keeper & The Dell were alive with laughter, chatter and the magical sound of Elvis on the turntable. It didn’t feel at all like work – it felt like I too, was having fun at a truly lovely tea party.
Enjoy your own summer too – make sure you have some memorable and magic times, just like that afternoon was – a piece of time to relax, have fun and be with people who make your day that little bit more special.
After the pictures, click on Isabelle for the next in my own, particularly lovely, circle of hens.
