Alanna and Joe had their engagement shoot in Cambridge, and a few days later they married in a small church in Ely. They’d left their home in San Francisco and opted for a quiet wedding with only their closest family, to marry in the picturesque surroundings of traditional English countryside.

Although leaving your friends behind did bring a few tears on the day, particularly when an incredibly moving letter from Alanna’s best friend was read out at the reception by the bride’s mother, nothing could take away from the intimate ceremony and the very evident love the couple have for each other.

The Maid’s Head at Wicken was the very lovely venue the couple selected for their wedding breakfast. It’s thatched roof, low doorways and position on a very English village green, were perfect for a couple who wanted something very different from what they were used to in California. I was joined on the day by Emmelie Eriksson who provided the videography services, and a was a great and very professional companion throughout!

Congratulations once more A&J! I truly loved your wedding day x

ps as you look through the pictures, you’ll see I had some competition!
